Bringing a component

• The part itself — a single crankshaft, head, rod or pump is a normal job
• Engine make, model and serial number, or a photo of the data plate
• What the machine was doing when it stopped
• Any measurements already taken, if you have them

Call ahead if it needs lifting off the vehicle, so the bay and the lifting are free when the truck arrives rather than after it has stood in the sun.

Sending it in

• Collection can usually be arranged — tell us what it is and roughly what it weighs
• Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman and the northern emirates are regular runs
• Label the crate with your company name and phone number
• Small parts belong in bags per cylinder, not loose in a box

Asking about a site visit

• Where the machine is, and what access the site allows
• Whether it is running, and what it does when it does
• Any fault codes on the panel
• Whether the work is urgent — say so at the outset and it is prioritised
